Narrative
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two people died, and a third person was injured and arrested Tuesday after a police chase ended in fiery solo crash in southeast D.C.
The incident happened sometime around 1 p.m. in the area of 4100 Southern Avenue Southeast, which is just west of the Maryland and Washington D.C. border.
Maryland Police initiated the pursuit in Annapolis around 12:15 p.m. after spotting the BMW at several armed robberies. Once in D.C., the vehicle left the roadway and ignited after crashing into a tree.
Authorities pronounced two people in the vehicle deceased at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their identities.
One other person from the vehicle went to the hospital with non-critical injuries. Police charged them as a “fugitive from justice.”
