FREDERICK CO., MD – A 64-year-old cyclist died Saturday after a vehicle struck him along a highway in northern Frederick County.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on the northbound side of US-15 at Catocin Furnace Road near Thurmont.
Police say a northbound Toyota 4Runner struck the cyclist as he was crossing the highway at the intersection.
Authorities identified the victim as Scott Binde of Alexandria.
The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene to render aid and speak with police.
